Context—Establish right of way limits and geodetic project control, collect topographic detail and prepare construction drawings along 26 kilometers of pipeline corridor. At construction, we were responsible for pipe lay out, creating pipe books and as constructed drawings showing the locations of each piece of pipe used, welds, bends valves and other fittings.
Our role—Before extending their service network, Union Gas required a detailed inventory of the pipeline route as well as a legal survey.
Prior to construction, Callon Dietz established a third order geodetic control network using GPS techniques. We mapped out the legal boundaries of the route and performed detail surveys. Resulting information was used to create the final design and construction drawings for the proposed pipeline.
