Positions: Human Resources Generalist

Locations: London, Ontario

Reports To:  President/Owners

Responsibility & Job Duties

​The position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate, up to date and complete personnel records.

  • Maintains high visibility to promote HR programs and assist management with effective facility wide communication

  • Supports traditional HR areas of employee relations, benefits administration, compensation/merit administration, HR compliance, wellness programs and employee activities

  • Recruitment, hiring, and onboarding(including FT, Co-op, PT)

  • Orientation for all sites

  • Develops and maintains strong partner relationships with the Managers to coach and influence the best business decisions.

  • Identifies training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers

  • Provides continuous improvement of HR processes

  • Coordinate new hire processing with payroll & benefits administrator.

  • Assist in development and updates of Personnel Policies and Procedures.

  • Help to ensure organization wide compliance with policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Track HR key performance metrics and assist with ongoing stat reporting.

  • Help develop and manage employment programs, performance reviews, and training programs.

  • Respond to or refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals across the organization.

  • Type forms, offer letters, reports, and memos as necessary.

  • Organize, maintain, and coordinate HR records and files in their proper locations.

  • Eliminate unnecessary or outdated materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance / legal guidelines.

  • Assist with research regarding Human Resources issues, including employment legislation.

  • Perform duties in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Callon Dietz Health & Safety program and internal safety protocols.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience

  • CHRL preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal skills and comprehension.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles, and familiar with relevant employment legislation (i.e. ESA, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety Act)

  • Able to lift 25 pounds.
