Positions: Survey Assistant

Locations: London, ON


Our London location is seeking Survey Assistants to work with our team of professional and technical staff on project work in Ontario.  The position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting Survey Crew Chiefs in the field

  • Use and maintenance of Robotic Total Stations, GNSS survey instruments, Digital Levels and 3D Laser Scanners

  • Ensuring safety and quality control policies are adhered to

  • Plan and map interpretation

  • Assist in preparing field notes and sketches

  • Technical support for internal and external clients

  • Support to and coordination with drafting-mapping division

  • Field equipment maintenance

  • Travel will be required

  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Engineering Technology or related field from a recognized institution

  • Aptitude and willingness to learn equipment: Robotic Total Stations, GNSS survey equipment, Laser Scanners and Digital Levels

  • Aptitude and willingness to learn survey field data transfer software and general computer software/applications

  • Able to work in a team environment and independently

  • Strong work ethic

  • Good communication skills

  • Valid drivers license

  • Flexible workplace
