Reports To: Drafting Supervisor
Job Duties
• Processing of raw field data and quality control
• Drafting of engineering, legal and topographical plans
• Draft condominium plans, subdivision plans, plan of surveys, SRPRs in Civil 3D
• Build contour modelling and DTMs
• General knowledge and use of ArcGIS
• Assist in preparing drafting portion of proposals
• Opportunity to assist in further development of in-house CAD/Mapping standards
• Provide technical support to internal and external clients
• Prepare drafting and survey reports

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in survey drafting
• Strong experience in legal boundary retracement
• Degree or Diploma in geomatics, engineering or related field from a recognized institution
• Extensive knowledge of Civil 3D and Trimble Office
• Knowledge of MTO engineering surveys standards is an asset
• Experience with VG4D Smart LiDAR Explorer, Inertial Explorer and ScanLook LiDAR software is an asset
• Demonstrate understanding of engineering and survey theories and principles
• Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineering/surveying team members in a clear manner
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Able to create alternative solutions to problems
Other Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned
Work Conditions
• 40 hour work week
• Periodic overtime as workload and schedule permits
• Overtime is payable at 1.5 times hourly wage after 44 hours
